Math Subject

Our Maths programme helps children to develop math skills and a love of numbers. Our students are aged five to older children up to the age of sixteen and each one is assessed at the beginning of their learning journey to ensure they work at just the right level. Study is set according to ability, regardless of age or school year, making it the obvious choice for any student wanting to progress or excel in Maths.

The programme goes right from the very basics of recognising numbers all the way to complex mathematical theories in small steps, building ability gradually along the way. We believe that every child has the potential to succeed in Math and our experienced tutors support them to achieve this. Students acquire an ability to self-learn while developing understanding and fluency of each topic before moving on to another.

English Subject

Our English program aims to foster a love of reading and learning in every child. Students range from age five to sixteen, building skills from reading and word recognition to advanced level comprehension with the ability to critique complex passages of text. Vocabulary and grammar.

Science Subject

The aims and objectives of Emerald Tuition in Science subject are to enable students:

• Develop scientific knowledge and conceptual understanding through the specific disciplines of science
• Develop understanding of the nature, processes and methods of science, through different types of scientific enquiries that help them to answer scientific questions about the world around them
• Develop their ability to evaluate claims based on science through critical analysis of the methodology, evidence and conclusions, both qualitatively and quantitatively.
• Develop and learn to apply observational, practical, modelling, enquiry and problem-solving skills, both in the laboratory, in the field and in other learning environments

We also offer preparation classes for private school entrance exams, SATs and 11+ entrance examinations.
Our Programmes emphasis on class room teaching in small groups and deviate from the culture of just practicing worksheets. We believe in providing education similar to the state school system but to very small cohorts. Our approach enables children to thrive in small groups which directly impact their performance at school. On average a child who attends Emerald Tuition improves up to two grades at school.
